The Plain of Six Glaciers is an easily accessible day hike beginning immediately in front of the famed Chateau Lake Louise in Banff National Park. It leads up the valley to the huge Victoria glacier which feeds the lake. On this trek we hiked up to the tea house at Agnes Lake below the "Small Beehive" and the "Large Beehive". This is an interesting way to do this hike rather than trekking straight up and down the valley leading to the Victoria Glacier. We took in both beehives also. It was a full day. |

It was a cloudy day. The first time I've hiked between cloud layers. A neat way to experience the mystery of the mountians. This is a view down from the Big Beehive too Lake Louise. The Gray at the end of the lake, centre photo, is the Chateau. |

The Big Beehive is well above the valley. This is enroute down from the Big Beehive to connect up with the Plain of Six Glaciers trail. This picture is looking southwest up the valley toward the glacier. Lake Louise is out of view down the valley to the northeast. That would be out the bottom of the picture. |

I am not often the subject of a photo. Guess that's why I have that silly grin eh? |

We have moved down into the valley. That is Lake Louise with the ledge of Fairview Mtn on the right. The trail we descended from is on the distant left. |
