I was born in Yogyakarta, on July 15, 1968. After graduating from Islamic University of Indonesia in 1992, I work for PKDA I, LAN (National Institute for Public Administration), Republic of Indonesia, as a Researcher.

I like writing, and my articles appear on local and national newspapers such as The Jakarta Post, Kompas, Republika, Media Indonesia, Sinar Harapan, Suara Karya, Suara Pembaruan, Pikiran Rakyat, and Bandung Post. I also curious of new interesting places, so that oftentimes I spend time with my family adventuring our dreamlands.
I married to a beautiful Sundanese woman, Kania with two cute daughters, Ifa (3 years) and Rara (2 years). They are my soul, my spirit, my future, my life, and my everything.  See more ...

From 1994 till now, I am also a Lecturer in STIA (Undergraduate School of Public Administration); and the Executive Director of Center for Local Development Studies (1999-2002).

I have professional experiences such as member of Organization Division at PERSADI (Association of Public Administration Experts) West Java Province (1996-2000), Chief I of LAN Cooperatives (1999-2002), and Executive Editor of "Wacana Kinerja", a Quarterly Academic Journal published by PKDA I, LAN (1998-2000).

I earned Master Degree on February 3, 2004 from Department of International Cooperation,
Graduate School of International Development, Nagoya University, in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.  Now, I am a Ph.D. Student in the same Department.
