A Long, Strange Goodbye and Hello is
about a young man trying to find love, respect, success, and happiness
in all the wrong places. Jake Caldwell, doesn’t want too much out
of life. He skips from job to job, town to town, trying to find
that one thing to keep him grounded, but for the longest time he’s not
very successful at it.
Jake Caldwell finds love, loses love, gets kicked
around, and rises to the top in the same breath. He’s the
anti-hero and everyday man combined as one. Scared to show
emotion, scared to get hurt, scared to lose everything he works for, but
does if it’s something he wants.
Jake Caldwell is the 21st century’s born
loser. His travels across the country, his menial jobs, the stupid
situations he ends up in, and his relentless search for love help him
meet up with some intriguing people that will either help or hurt
him. In the end, Jake Caldwell proves that even losers get lucky
every once in a while.
