Matt Caudill has lived in Ohio most of his life. He has
also lived in Florida and California, but always comes home to his back
woods roots. Being broke and trying to hack out a living he still lives
in the Cincinnati area.
Matt has been a janitor, grocery clerk, census taker,
security guard, data entry clerk, dog catcher, waiter, bouncer, truck
driver, and professional rambler. No matter what job he was working he
found the time to write. Whether it was on a lunch break scribbling a
few notes while freezing in his car in the frigid Ohio winter, or
setting at his desk writing, hoping that the "boss" doesn't notice that
he's not working.
Matt has an extensive volume of poetry that he has
written throughout the years. He plans to publish the poetry in a
collection later this year.
In 2001 Matt collaborated with his brother, Tim
Caudill, on a screenplay titled "Onion Peels". A large and well
know Hollywood studio optioned the screenplay, but as of now they have
no plans for production.
John Fante, Tim Sandlin, and Charles Bukowski are
Matt's literary influences.
