These pages show some pictures and notes about building a 36 ft heavy displacement sailing boat.
The boat is designed by the naval architect Tom
MacNaughton in Maine. He has been very helpful during our building.
The boat is a bit different then current production boats:
- Junk rig
- Inside steering station
- Flush decked
- No foot well
- Heavy - disp/length ratio = 420. This will make the boat very comfortable
in rough seas. And of course able to take a load.
