Introduction
My name is Maureen Cheong.  I am a 28 year old Canadian that is now teaching English in Gwangju, South Korea.  I graduated from The University of Western Ontario in 1997 and like many university graduates, struggled to find a career and to get ahead financially until 2001.  In 2001 I heard about the opportunity to teach English overseas.  The thought intrigued me, so I attended a seminar, and decided that this was the right choice for me.  One of my dreams has been to travel around the world and this has made it possible.  Not only do I have a great job, but I also have experienced LIVING in another culture.  You can only experience a limited amount of "culture" in a 1-week holiday. Even though times have been tough, I do not regret a single minute. This was the best choice that I could have made for myself and my future!! I can't wait to see what tomorrow may bring!!!!
