Who am I? I wish even I knew...

But here are a few things most people will agree on: I was born in Lancaster, OH in the spring of 1982. I lived there until I was 14. I then moved to Epinal, France with my step-father, mother and sister on August 7, 1996. I had two years of "troisième" (the equivalent of 9th grade), passed my Brevet and then got the hell out. I then moved to Strasbourg, leaving my family in Epinal and attended the Lycée Intérnational des Pontonniers. There I received my baccalaureat in Social and Economic sciences and a mind full of wonderful memories. After completing high school, I moved back to Ohio and attended Denison University. I am currently a senior at that fine establishment where I am majoring in French and Cinema along with hijiking the air waves at the local school radio station and being a Frenchy control freak at our little film club.

Otherwise on a more personal level, I am a 6 feet tall, blue eyed, WM, Pisces who loves long walks on the beach and cuddling next to a fire with tall glasses of wine and Kenny G flowing out the speakers.

But Zane, don't you have any hobbies? What music do you like? What films interest you?

Why yes! Funny you should ask! I enjoy playing guitar on the front porch at night with a cup of hot tea. I enjoy watching films but making them is so much more rewarding.

I don't have any favorite films really. Such a dumb question to ask anyway. But I will make a short list of films one should see that aren't easily available at your local Blockbuster:

8 and a half, Breathless, Sunrise, Battleship Potemkin, Shadow of a Doubt, (anything by Jan Svankmajer), Scorpio Rising, Eraserhead

Right...now music... Uhh...I listen to a lot of shit. It depends on my mood, but if you're looking for something other than what's playing on your radio or what your friends listen to, here's list of some more obscure bands/musicians:

Portishead (I can't believe how many people DON'T know this band...they've been haunting me since Junior High), Smoke City, The Shins, Le Tigre, Tilly and the Wall, Charlie Feathers, David Wilcox, Donna Mogavero, Dick Dale, Gravy Train (possible the greatest lyricists since Hank Williams), Skip James (buy his 1930 recordings...do it NOW)
