| My web page wouldn't be complete without a mention of another family member *smile*. Mind you, many people think she isn't as sweet as my other girls. "Tiva" is my baby Coastal Carpet Python. Tiva is the Hopi word for "dance" and she was named that because she often seems to dance for me, especially when she wants out of her enclosure. She's an amazingly gentle snake, and seems to enjoy being handled. She hatched on 6th January 2001, so she's still quite young, and has got a way to go before she reaches her full length. She has beautiful markings and is a special addition to our family. Savannah is the only other family member that seems to be really comfortable around her, and Imogen is getting there *smile* Most of my work mates don't seem too keen on me bringing her into work either - I just can't imagine why!! *smile*. | True to my childhood interest in healing, my first career was in Nursing. I have also worked with young people in refuges and am currently working as a Foster Care Caseworker. For some years I was also a foster parent, so it's good to be working in a field that I feel passionate about, and that I have an understanding of "both sides". I have a strong work ethic, and whilst sometimes I get tired and frustrated with "the system", it's a career I feel is right for me at this place in time. Eventually, I see myself returning to the Healing Arts, but this time round it will be in Natural Therapies. I have taken some courses to that end already, and when I get time, I shall do some more.
