It's
almost spring in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. This is a typical
scene along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Actually it's part of the split rail fence
museum a few miles down the road.

We are
located about 2 miles off the Parkway on almost 6 acres. We have a 3/4 acre
pond stocked with bass and catfish. (If you look closely you can see one of
the catfish.) The dogs enjoy running up and down the
mountain and swimming in the pond.

Fancy
Gap is in a time warp making life like it was 50 years ago. The area is
dominantly farm land used for cattle and growing cabbages. The fall everything changes with the color of the leaves. We get lots of
tourists then. In the spring the Rhododendrons are in full bloom. The real
Mabry Mill is just down the Parkway. The two big events of the year are the
Fiddlers Convention and the largest flea market in the world. Image 500,000
people in a town with a population of 3,800.
On the
following pages you will meet our dogs. Each of which is very special to us.
Our kennel is small so we can give individual attention to each one. The
dogs live in the house, sleep in my bed and are considered family
members.
We hope
you find your visit fun and educational.
