Some of the other great points to mention would be his great awareness of the world surrounding him and the impact of his movement along with his awareness of his own short comings. He talked about them in many of his speeches.  He never claimed to be superior to his followers; he rather put himself right in line with them on the same level.

In a much simpler way we can say that MLK was a servant leader because he lived to serve. His religious belief drove him to consider himself a servant for his cause. In college he spent a great amount of time thinking about the social injustice that happened to the Negroes. He himself was much better off to as a middle class black man compared to the majority of black people. If he would followed his and Correttas plans to go back to the North East, he could have lived an easy but uneventful life, escaping many of the injustices done to black people at that time. Instead he chose to march with the black people and work for their cause. To serve in the place that he believed was give to him
