So now the dreaded 1st show is over and already we haev been asked to do another show. Our friend bought a cd and wants us to play at her B-day party. We had just had the show last Sunday and now this girl wants us to play on Thursday ...but hey there's no complaining. Shows are so fun....omg.... don't have one? GET ONE! Well so now we are pretty much just gonna wing this show, but we are still pretty warmed up from just playing last Sunday and shows are so fun and I'm sure we'll get creative. Ok so we had the show and this is the thing. Kyle had the bass amp that we were going to use, right. And so the day comes and Kyle is like, "hey um, my bassist has the amp and he's gone", so we all freaked out. We threw everything together to try and make everything sound ok. Dave was on Jake's guitar amp, and the guitar was on Dave's small amp, and the mic's were in this 15 watt bass amp. Jake was freaking out that it was going to suck. So we said some quick prayers to ourselves before we got there and guess what... we did fine. I think we did really good actually. We didn't bring Jake's mic stand and Jake's mic doesn't really work anymore so Nathan had to be his mic stand, but everything worked out. We played our song "Lets go" and we didn't even know all of it, Nathan forgot the words... but we all still had fun. And this show Jake actually sang blindsight in tune! Yeah I know! But thats not all, at the end of the party, the aunt same up to us and asked us how much we wanted... and we had no idea ... we were hoping for like at least 50 to help us with our troubles. But instead of that... we got 200$! I know! That will help us alot. Now maybe soon Jake can get a good guitar amp! Well then we packed up and left and soon we are supposed to play with NATG at Java Jazz Coffee House and also at Fuel. Oh yeah, we are also going to enter for battle of the bands at Fuel. |
