/ Drawing Minnie's Head (3/4 Perspective)
Welcome
to another lesson in drawing Minnie Mouse. If you haven't
learned how to draw Minnie's head, please do so. Although
it is not required for you to learn how to draw Minnie's head
straight on, its a good ideal for you to understand the basic
structure of this character.
Now while
we are still doing yet another head of Minnie, this is a little
different. This is a 3/4th perceptive of Minnie, which means
we are drawing her head if she were to the side. In my personal
opinion, this way is much harder to do since you are dealing
with perspectives. It might be a good ideal to practice drawing
3-D spheres in order to get in the groove of things..
You will
need pencils and some scrap paper (Graph paper recommended).
Pencils will erase the lines that are unnecessary when the
drawing is finished. Colored pencils, crayons and other means
of coloring are optional. You could color your drawing with
a pencil.
Step
1

As
I said before, we are dealing with 3-D shapes. This is just
like the first head we did, only that we are kind of turning
Minnie's head a bit. Those lines are very important since
we will be adding other features of Minnie later. Make sure
you curve those lines like above. Minnie is going to look
really ugly if you don't.
Step
2

Here
comes the ears! The ear on the top should not be straight
up Put the ear as an "egg" for example. We don't
want to balance it at the top. The next ear should be aligned
with the horizontal curvy line from step 1. Make sure that
both ears are NOT circles. These ears must be a little
oblong or have and ovalsh shape. Don't make it too oval though.
Step
3

Now
we start on the face! Follow the blue curves to make what
will be of Minnie's eyebrows and cheek.
Step
4

Time
for those beautiful eyes! Here is a very important note: make
sure the eyes are NOT the same size! Remember, we are
following a Perspective. Make sure that Minnie's eyelashes
flow a bit, not stiff. Also make sure that Minnie's pupils
are slightly above the horizontal line.
