After breakfast this morning, one of the leaders took three Scouts and I to a Roman Catholic Mass, held in a tent in the X-centre. This was a full Mass, celebrated by a priest from Nova Scotia. After Mass was over I went to have a shower. Unfortunately I didn't bring a bathing suit! High winds were blowing off of Malpeque Bay through the shower building, and the curtains were blowing open. Since I was in my birthday suit, I had to hold the curtain closed with my foot while I used the soap and shampoo with the other. It was very difficult but I managed! The water was nice and warm, too.
After lunch, my unit, #3661, went to the first of the activities. This afternoon's activity was the X-centre. My favourite part was when exitic animals were brought out on the Centre Stage, including a white Siberian tiger. I believe there was also a boa constrictor there. We browsed around the various displays, such as the Coleman one which I thought was cool because of the fake rock they used on it.
To see the entire X-centre didn't take a long time, so I went back to our campsite early. I pulled out my badges to do some more trading. I sat on my campstool on the edge of our site by the laneway to offer badge trading to passers by. Some other Scouts from my troop were there too. One of them was offering 2nd London Troop T-shirts to passers by for a fee. Nobody would take one, so when some Scouts from Seaforth, Ontario came by, he customized the T-shirt for their troop with a permanent marker! One of the Seaforth Scouts bought it for five bucks.
