King's Highway 7
To make a long story short, Hwy 7 runs from Hwy 4 north of London to Hwy 417 in Ottawa, with gaps in Kitchener, and between Brampton and Markham, resulting from several downloads made between 1997 and 2001. Hwy 7 is a freeway from New Hamburg into Kitchener, and on the Peterborough Bypass. Hwy 7 is also part of the Trans-Canada Highway east of Hwy 12.

Highway 7/Trans Canada Highway Central Ontario Route looking westbound from west of Ridge Road, towards the Highway 12 junction, in Brock Township. At the junction in the background, motorists must turn left onto Highway 12 southbound to stay on Highway 7 westbound. This marks the start of a 40-kilometre multiplex between Highways 7 and 12, which ends at Brooklin in the Town of Whitby. Motorists can also turn right at this junction onto Highway 12 northbound to continue westward on the Trans-Canada Highway towards Orillia. This stretch of highway is part of the link between Orillia and Eastern Ontario. Photo taken 2 June 2004. (Photo courtesy Scott Steeves, HHSO Member 12)

Highway 7 looking westbound towards Islington Avenue (York Road 17) from Bruce Street in Woodbridge, in the City of Vaughan. The traffic lights shown are at the intersection with Islington Avenue. In the background is the bridge over the Humber River, and just beyond that is a rail subway, on top of which the main C.P. line between Toronto and Sudbury runs. This stretch of Highway 7 is the section that runs north of Toronto, and has been bypassed by Highway 407 in recent years. Photo taken 24 June 2004. (Photo courtesy Scott Steeves, HHSO Member 12)
