PLEASE NOTE: Check the Class Calendar for due dates of CLASSWORK Assignments!! Students who do not complete classwork in class MUST finish for homework and submit it the next day.

NEW or RECURRING:

Students should be working on their major project for the 4th quarter.  It is a joint project for Language Arts and Social Studies.  Please see the Hand-Outs page for specific instructions.

Need Extra Credit? Complete the Poetry Portfolio and submit NO LATER THAN MAY 11TH.  See Hand-Outs page for instructions.

Make-up ONE class work OR HW assignment (zero or low grade) by MAY 15th, NO EXCEPTIONS!

Weekly HW Assignment: DUE EACH FRIDAY Students may submit assignments before Friday for extra credit.  NO LATE HW accepted! Check Hand-Outs page for further instructions.

STUDY ISLAND: All students are able to do extra practice for the EOG using the Study Island Online Program. PARENTS: IF YOUR CHILD RECEIVED A 1 or 2 ON THE 7TH GRADE EOG or 8TH GRADE BENCHMARK- Please have your child do extra Study Island exercises EVERY NIGHT! It is absolutely necessary to help him/her pass the EOG and be promoted to 9th grade.

All students should be reviewing our unit VOCAB each night.

Reading Log: Students must keep track of the books read throughout the quarter by completing a Reading Log They may use as many sheets as needed throughout the year. DUE MAY 29th.  Honors: Must complete 4 new books (books can be required readings from any subject/class) Standard: Must complete 3 new books (books can be required readings) *Download Rdg. Log*
