The Atomic Bomb in WWII
Today, the most feared weapons are WMD, or weapons of mass destruction. However, what are their origins? How did we, the people of this earth, recieve such a horrendous legacy that could one day destroy the world?

There was a time, little more than sixty years ago, when this threat was not constanly looming over our heads. True, we were in the midst of the Second World War and faced with threats from Germany, Italy, and Japan, but we knew that these would last only for a time, that the men who were the forces behind them would one day die. Their threat was temporary, soon to be erased. A new horror would exist after this, a phoenix which would rise from the ashes of Hitler's defeat.

This horror was the atomic bomb, that was unleashed on Japan in a matter of months. It would immediately take more than 100,000 lives, with tens of hundreds of thousands later to add to the toll.

Hello, I'm Marlee C. and this is my Eight Grade Honor's Option extension project. It is about the atomic bomb in WWII, namely concerning Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Please, explore this site and, if possible, learn something new.
