Economic Significance-Hiroshima
Before the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, there were several industrial plants near the outskirts as well as cottage industries. After the bomb dropped, these economic sectors halted. The factories were gone, there was no market for goods. In postwar Japan during the American occupation, it was all you could do to provide for yourself and your family. There was no chance for luxuries.

Now, modern-day Hiroshima hosts many economies, such as automobile manufacturing. The economy has improved and is more develolped.
