here, i want to talk about ways to get fit and feel healthier without being deprived of our favorite foods!  again i'm not telling you this as a doctor or a nutritionist or an expert in any way, i just tell you what makes sense to me:
in my opinion, for keeping healthy, happy and fit, we should keep 2 things in mind:
-smaller portion sizes
-moderation
basically, i believe we can eat a lot of things if we eat them in small portions and if we don't eat them everyday.

suggestion # 2 lowering the carb intake

choose low carb foods

substitute bagels ( over 50 g of carb in each) toasts or pita bread (each having around 30 g of carb)

for example, :
try to substitiute your lunch carb(toasts) with pita bread.

suggestion # 1 portion sizes

this is probably the most important part.  we can lower the amount of what we eat, and still enjoy eating them.  for example, if you usually have a turkey sandwich with 2 toasts, change that to turkey with 1 toast.  or instead of having 1 full bowl of cereal, have 1/4 and fill up your bowl with milk.  you get the idea, right?

by doing this, you can enjoy, 2 or 3 spoon full of ice cream,  or even once a week, small slice of cake...
and beleive me, it sounds much harder than it is!
moderation

this is probably the most important thing to remember...: never over do it!!
try not to eat the same things everyday, not even the same low carb food even in small portions.  1 reason is that, you need to get a variety of nutrients and vitamines and one certain food does not have everything that your body needs.

so eat different kinds of breads, fruits, cookies (not more than one cookie a day!), meat (chicken, beef, ...)  and don't forget 1 or 2 spoonful of peanut butter everyday!

please note:
things you read on this page are my own personal opinions, suggestions and experiences.  i'm not recommending or promising anything.  please consult with your doctor before trying any of these suggestions.
