Another summer sequel to a blockbuster that was released a few years back. Any interest? Come on, it's got three bootylicious babes running around in hot clothing kicking the living daylights out of pretty much everyone around them! It's got Bernie Mac, that hilarious guy from, uh, The Bernie Mac Show. It's got Demi Freakin Moore as a really hot evil angel! Still not interested? Check out these pics then, right HERE. Charlies Angels: Full Throttle is a really good looking piece of film. It really looks great. The colors are vibrant and the locations are sweet. The fights are all hardcore if not a bit unbelievable due to some of the wire-fu that they got going on most of the time. But I'm not an idiot who goes into a flick like this expecting an Oscar-caliber flick, so I really enjoyed the crap out of it. It was full of great humor, great action, and great cheese. That's is probably the best that this movie is gonna get.
This time around, the Angels have to retrieve a witness protection device known as HALO that contains all of the names of the protected witnesses on two rings. If these rings fall into the wrong hands, anyone could be a target. Including one of our angels. So the trio and their new Bosely (the Mac), have to save the day again from an evil angel who plans to sell he rings to the highest bidder.
The flick really isn't made to be intelligent, and the girls all have fun in their roles, so I'll just do a little slack cutting and say that this flick was great popcorn. It really was. Props also go out to Justin Theroux, who does a chisled turn as Irish gangster Seamus O'Grady. His accent rocked the house along with his friggin abs.
As for the ladies, they all looked hot and acted just fine. Demi Moore is so unbelievably good looking for her age, and she plays a nice bad guy, too.
One thing that did surprise me was how gritty the fighting was. Everything seemed to hurt more and be a bit more violent, which is just fine by me. So check it out for cheesy fun. If you need to blow a couple of hours, this isn;t a bad way to do it.
