| Steel escalating, Ratner has officially left the project in favor of directing Rush Hour 3. This comes as welcome news to some and dissapointing news to others. Ratner's project was almost gaining full steam when it hit the casting wall. Actors such as Josh Hartnett, Jude Law, and Paul Walker were all mentioned as possible candidates. But the most recent were Brendan Fraser and soap star Matthew Bomer. Bomer was said to be on the verge of sealing the deal when Warner Brother's strongly dissagreed with Ratner's choice. After mentioning that he would love to have Christopher Walken as Perry White, Anthony Hopkins as Lew Luthor, and Ralph Finnes as Jor-El,, the statement was made by Ratner himself that he has stepped down from the project. A search for a new director has no doubt already begun at Warner Brothers. |
