First and foremost, I am a firm believer in our Lord Jesus Christ. He is my strength and my will to go on. Everything I do, my actions, my words... all of them should reflect my beliefs. No one is perfect, yes everyone makes mistakes. All we can really do is learn from them, and work not to make the same mistakes twice. I believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins, and mine. If we acknowledge that Jesus is Lord and follow in his footsteps, and are baptized, we will join him in heaven when this life is over. I don't know everything there is to know... who does... but if you're looking for a good book... try the Bible. It's a lot more interesting than you think if you will just take the time to read and comprehend. I have so many great memories from my youth days in church. I grew up in a Baptist church, but began going out on my own to West Gwinnett Christian Church by the time I turned sixteen. There, I grew and learned the most. It was also then that I can recall the fondest memories. For all you West Gwinnett folks out there, we all recall the skiing trip to West Virginia in 1999, all the trips to the Farm in Live Oak, Florida. Then there were smaller trips like GCYC in Hilton Head, South Carolina and SCYC right at home at Stone Mountain. The biggest of all though was our two week + mission trip to Honduras. Trips aside, we had plenty to do at home. The times we spent up at Lake Lanier boating and fishing, our after church lunches at the mall. Our little gang that always hung out: Joe Henderson, Nathan Jackson, Matthew Hicks, Mike Poe. We sure had a great time! I sure do miss you all. |
