Myra Rubin Knitting and Spinning  Sweaters
I made this sweater when I was a working girl living in Manhattan. It's made of mohair and I just love the off-center button placket.
When I bought the yarn for this sweater, the shop owner said I would never have enought yarn to make a sweater.  Well, I made the sweater, but it has always been too small for me.
I crocheted this sweater.  I love to wear it in the fall.
When I was a poor graduate student in NYC, I found an ad looking for knitters to knit sweaters for an up and coming designer, Perry Ellis.  I knit some pieces for his first sweater in 1978. I always feel that somehow I had a hand in making him famous.  When a pattern for one of his designs was printed several years later, I just had to make it for myself.  It has a great mandarin collar.
I made this sweater after I graduated from college. I lived in Rochester, NY at the time and I wore this everyday to keep warm.

This is a cotton summertime sweater.  It has a great pattern that doesn't show up very well in the picture.
