What can I tell you about me? Hmmm... I'm a happily married 38 year old woman living in Illinois. To my great shame, my two sons from previous marriages are living with their fathers. One is 18 now, and the other is 13. For those who are interested in such things, I'm a Taurus born in the year of the Dog. My husband is a Gemini born in the same year. Hobbys:
I've been writing since I was 11 years old. I've been doing needlepoint since I was 10. I just started to learn scrapbooking and beading this past year. I've been crocheting since I was 10. I want to learn how to knit and make quilts. I do some sewing. Some of these hobbys will be shown off in the Hobbys section of this site.
Interests:
I like cats of all animals, but I'm also fond of lizards and dogs. I care about the environment and many political issues. I recycle as much as I can. I support environmental causes and animal groups. I'm all for alternative energy sources. I like swords, knives and all manner of bladed weapons. They are far more elegant and personal than modern day weapons, in my opinion. I like going to Renfaires and Jousting Tournaments - yes they still have those. I also like playing online games like Runescape and Lands of Hope as well as offline games like Enchanted Arms and The Sims. I like watching horror and adventure movies. I like CSI, Bones, House and Supernatural though the fall lineup looks like it has some shows in it I might get into. I like Stephen King, Laurell K Hamilton and Anne McCaffrey of all writers but there are some I do read when I can't get anything new from the top three. Belief/Religion:
I'm a pagan in that I don't follow mainstream religion. I believe in a Creator that is both genderless and a hermaphrodite. I can speak to the dead, and I believe life goes on even after you shed your mortal body. I practice earth related magic, and I go it solo. My husband doesn't share my beliefs, and we leave it at that. I read runes for divination and use fire for meditation. My personal religion is more fully outlined on my Beliefs page.
