This is a hobby I share with millions of women worldwide. It's been around since men started shearing sheep and women made blankets out of the wool. I've been crocheting since I was 10 years old, was taught by a nice older woman who visited the children's home I was living in at the time. I was one of three, I think, who actually paid attention to her and kept on with what she taught to the group of girls that day.
My skill level is Intermediate. I work with all sorts of yarn and crochet thread. I can do filet crochet as well as open work and over three dozen of the known stitches. I like to make afghans and blankets mostly, but I've also made pillows, shawls, curtains, table runners and table clothes. I tried my hand at making a doily once, and I didn't care for it.
I might add some pics of projects I've done in the past, but I'm not sure yet. I give away most of the things I make.
If you also enjoy this hobby, drop me a line, I'd love to hear from you! |
