The question has been answered!

After a lot of speculation from the fans on whether it would happen or not, the news broke.  To the relief of many viewers, Mutant X has been renewed for a fourth season.  For more information, click here.

New character receives mixed reactions from fans...

We aren't even half-way into the season, and already individuals either seem pleased or displeased with Lexa Pierce.  Maybe it's the fact that Lexa supposidly workes for the Dominion, a secret organization with motives that are still unknown, but it could also have more to do with her actual character.  Lexa's main purpose seems to involve searching for her brother Leo, but over the first few episodes she seems to have earned herself a position at Mutant X.  As the season
