Now that you have been born again and Christ lives in you, you have been made a new person. You have now been delivered from the darkness of the sinful life you once gave yourself to and now God has brought you into the kingdom of His dear Son, Jesus Christ. Also, as a born again person, you now have the following marvelous joy and incomprehensible glory to look forward to; 25. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. - 1 John 2:25 3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4. To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, - 1 Peter 1:3-4 8. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. - 2 Timothy 4:8 12. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. - James 1:12 9. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. - 1 Corinthians 2:9 4. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. - Revelation 21:4-6 1. And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4. And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. - Revelation 22:1-5 Now that you have been born again in Christ, you have the forementioned joys and rewards of heaven awaiting you. Glory to the Lord Jesus. But until we leave this earthly life, the scriptures themselves instruct that they should be studied by the Christian in order to grow in Gods’ righteousness and also to be able to keep ourselves from false religions and deceitful beliefs of sinful mankind ( see Colossians 2:8 / 2 Timothy 3:1-5 / Jude 1:17-19 / 2 Timothy 4:2-4 / 2 Peter 2:1-3 ) which could draw us away from God. The scriptures write; 2. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: - 1 Peter 2:2 15. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. - 2 Timothy 2:15 15. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17. That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. - 2 Timothy 3:15-17 17. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. - Ephesians 5:17 13. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. - Hebrews 5:13-14 9. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10. That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11. Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; - Colossians 1:9-11 If you have read the previous words of Gods’ grace and salvation and have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and God over your life. I would now encourage you as a new born Christian to obtain a King James Version Bible and begin reading and becoming familiar with its’ teaching and spiritual guidance. Check out the King James Version Bible page and find out what makes that particular English version of holy scripture so vital and important. It is also helpful for the Christian to have the fellowship and assistance of more mature believers in Christ who have walked with God for many years. Mature Christians have a valuable importance in aiding and helping other brothers and sisters with their spiritual growth in the Lord. In light of this, there are various websites you can access and make use of which offer valid and useful instruction and research material concerning the spiritual things of Christianity as well as the deceptions which the Christian should avoid. These can be found at these websites: http://www.oocities.org/n8usa/Christian_links.html & http://www.oocities.org/n8usa/DoctrinesPage1.html . God bless you with peace and joy as you begin your new Christian life. |
