Research Experience

More than eight years research experience in preparation and characterization of organic semiconducting thin films. Acquainted with different types of thin film deposition techniques such as PVD, CVD, spin coating and doctor blade. Familiar with microwave plasma enhanced CVD and hot filament CVD. Have assembled a microwave plasma CVD system for the deposition of diamond thin films. Familiar with different characterization techniques such as XRD, UV-Visible spectrophotometry, FTIR and Raman spectroscopies SEM and AFM. Have experience in working with glove boxes, cryo-pumps etc.

Excellent experience in fabrication and characterization of organic thin film devices such as field-effect transistors, photovoltaic cells and light emitting diodes. Have hands on experience in an OLED cluster tool.

Previous Positions

  1. CNRS Post Doctoral Fellow in the Laboratoire des Proprietés Optiques des Matériaux et Applications, UMR CNRS 6136, Université Angers, 2 Bd. Lavoisier, 49045, Angers Cedex, France.

Duties and responsibilities: included fabrication of organic thin film devices and their characterization with an aim to improve the device performance and training of undergraduate and fresh Ph D students.

  2. Post doctoral Research Associate in an Indo-French Collaboration project at the Dept. of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India.

Duties and responsibilities: included designing and fabrication of a microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition (MPCVD) apparatus and deposition and characterization of diamond films and carbon nanotubes under different deposition conditions. This is a photograph of the system fabricated by me.
