Problems

Car had a history of a side impact earlier on in its life. Although repaired I am still getting so much hassles because of it. Cracks were developing in the paintwork near the tailgate. I showed it around to bodywork specialists they all recommended that i have the offending part welded again properly. And then repainted. So I forked out had this done, ordered a new tailgate and got a respray on most of the car. Nissan sent me a new tailgate but with the holes for the struts in the wrong place. Tried to get them to send me a new one but they refused to and sent my case to Japan, still no word from them, so the bodywork specialist decided to bend the struts and make it all fit just. Then we realised the tailgate was not touching the top rubber seal at the upper part of the back end. He had to hammer the roof into place. Solved my leaking problem thank god.

Still however because of the slight twisting of the bodywork the passenger vibrates slighlty which is annoying. My bodywork guy sorted this out. Basically you stick your knees into the door and bend the top of the door frame towards you with the window down. Brutal but it works.Window takes longer to go up now though.

Nismo Clutch near the end of its life. Gearbox has a buggered input shaft bearing. Now been replaced by those geniuses at Abbey Motorsport with HKS cerimetallic and almost new gearbox.

Recently my Apexi Boost sensor is giving strange readings. So we think that because the oil separator is so old now, and the fact that there is oil all over the tubing that this has let oil into the sensor and clogged up the one way air valve which feeds the sensor. So I am now waiting to get the components from USA. So I am running of factory boost. Got the sensor and everything is back up to optimum.

Went to powerstation and got myself a full Whiteline Road works kit and Bump steer kit and 4-wheel alignment. Handles beautifully now, so much less understeer, steers in better, feels almost like a RWD with the grip and safety of a 4WD!
