I started in this position in January 2007, and currently these are
the main areas of research  - click on the light green boxes below to learn more!
It may be difficult to identify what the research topics below have in common, but there are connections! First of all, they have been identified as important by members of the agricultural sector in the Southern high Plains, so my program reflects the research needs in this region. Secondly, three aspects are common denominators of these research topics: 1) development of early-detection systems, 2) host preference, and 3) development of novel pest management practices.
Control of Larger Black Flour beetles in gin trash
Spider mite ecology
Host preference of stored grain insects
Precision-monitoring of moths in stored peanuts
