According to the Los Angeles Lakers Rumors Source (unofficial), the Lakers need to replace the perimeter shooting, after losing Glen Rice. They must have that threat to prevent teams from doubling down hard on their main center, Shaquille O'Neal. It remains to be seen whether Kobe or Shaw can be consistent enough to fill that role. They also have to maintain that hunger now that they've won a few rings. They have found a lot of new faces and must find a chemistry that will take them to the top, once again.

The big question: Will the Lakers once again be able to overcome the tendencies of their individual superstars who want to take control of the game, particularily now that Lindsey Hunter has been thrown into the equation? On every team Hunter has been on, he thinks that things should run through him, or that he should at least get a minimum amount of touches. Can he adjust, in this case, third fiddle?
