"Nope, that's what makes Chinese such a hard language. The symbols people see are called characters or pictograms. There are thousands of characters."

"The roles of males is about the same in China. It hasn't changed in decades. Since China is so traditional, the old Chinese mentality hasn't changed. Men do most of the hard labor and earn the money."

"The roles of females hasn't changed either. They are expected to be subservient to men and to be a good mother. They do much of the housework and take care of the children."

"Dim sum is a very popular and very expensive type of Cantonese food. They include 'hargow' and 'shu mai,' two of the most popular dishes."
Is marriage the same as it was in the olden days?
"To my knowledge, yes, except that matchamakers are no longer needed. People choose who they want to marry, but still follow all the superstitious guidelines. For example, the men must give the dowry of foods to the bride, and she then distributes it to her family members and friends as a sign she is getting married."
Why do all the Chinese holiday/festivals change their date?
"The Chinese holidays change dates because the Chinese celebrate their holidays according to the lunar calendar. The lunar calendar always changes because it bases time according to the everchanging moon."
Why is Chinese opera so boring and annoying?
"It is only boring to those who don't learn to appreciate it. I guess you're too young...."
