First of all, in the game of paintball there are no real snipers. The word sniping means - to shoot at detached men of an enemy's forces at long rang . Paintball guns do not shoot long range, they shoot acuratly up to about 100' or more depending on the gun. So, regular military sniper tactics have to custimized to the game of paintball. The most common tatcic of a sniper is not to hide but to stay in a concealed location temparily. Most snipers will first choose their target, then find the best route to that target so he can setup in a well concealed spot to eliminate the person.
Camoflauge is a very useful tool in staying concealed.It alwys you to get in closer to your targets. Ghillie suites work great for this. Camoflauge, however doe not make you invisible, only harder for your opponet to see. No matter how well you blen in with your natural enviroment you position can always be located without the proper movement.
Stealth
Movement- when a sniper avoid sharp, quick movements that can draw attention to you. Move with the wind on windy days. Always stay off of any trail or in the open if possible.
