Chapter 2
When I woke I found myself on a deserted island. I didn’t know how I got there, but I was thankful for being on dry land. The waves crashed against my bare legs since my cloths had been ripped & torn by the currents. The moon was out & was very bright. I felt content right were I was that I stayed there & drifted off to sleep once more. When I woke again it was daylight out side. I was in a man made hut on the beach. My ripped & torn clothing had been replaced by some more of my own clothing. My curly hair was matted & dirty. I found my bag in the hut & dug for a rubber band. When I found one I pulled my hair into a messy ponytail & went to go find the person who had dragged me here. I didn’t have to look far before I discovered the reporter from the boat. She was sitting on the beach with her knees to her chest & her head was on her knees. I walked over to her & gently placed my hand on her shoulder. She looked up at me & I gave her a kind smile. I noticed that the woman was weak & very tired. I pulled her to her feet, but she collapsed in my arms. I picked her up & carried her back to the hut. I laid her down & laid down beside her. She placed her head on my chest & fell asleep. I watched her sleep & looked out into the ocean. Feelings of fear, dread, & comfort filled my mind as well as unanswered questions. Were we the only ones who survived? Will we ever be rescued? Will we ever see our family & friends again? The questions & thoughts gave me a headache I laid down only hoping for the best.
