| “You children are to be exiled or killed for a crime they committed. The fate rests in your hands. You give us each of us another child & we will let them come live with you. If you don’t, you will never see them again. They will stay with you until their trial in two weeks. You make your decision & present it to the court. This will be their prison until then.” Daisy said as she & Angel disappeared. I sat & watched as my daughter fall onto her knees & cried. Darviant kneeled down & comforted her. He looked up at us with pleading eyes & then he picked Vavranta off the ground. She cried into his shoulder. Darviant broke the silence. “Are you going to dump us like them.” “No, we aren’t like your mothers. Come on lets go.” Howie said. We took them to our car & drove back to the hotel. Vavranta cried all the way there. Howie took his son to his room & I took Vavranta. Kristen was sitting in the room. “Kevin who is that?” “Kristen, this is Vavranta, my Benovian daughter.” “Kevin, she disappeared years ago. Are you sure this is your daughter?” “Yes, Daisy & Angel showed up. Howie & I have a decision to make. If we refuse the deal, they will die. If we accept they can live with us.” “Howie has his son back too? What kind of deal? What are you talking about.” “One question at a time Kristin. Yes Howie has his son back. As for the deal, they want us to give them another child.” “WHAT!!!!!! You can’t be serious Kevin.” “What can we do Krist. They’ll die if we don’t agree.” “Why do you have to make this decision?” “Cause they’re our children & they are exiled for some reason. Vavranta, why are you & Darviant exiled?” “Because we wouldn’t get married even though we were destined to be married.” “What!” The two adults said in unison. |
