(Howie’s View)
Darviant walked around the room. He looked really surprised at what he saw. I didn’t know what to say to him. He turned to face me.

“I don’t understand why our mothers are doing this.”
“Doing what?”
“Leave us here to die just because Vavranta & I refused to be married. Benovian life sucks. I hate my mother & I’m sure Vavranta does to.”
“I know.”
“How do you know?”
“I’m your father. How do you think you were born? I know your mother & Kevin knows Daisy. As far as we are concerned they can die along with the rest of the Benovian race. That’s why we escaped. We wanted nothing apart of their plan. Even if they’re our people it doesn’t mean we have to like what they do.”
“Here on earth there is more freedom. Vavranta & I always dreamed of coming here. Now I don’t think I like the idea of being here.”
“Your life right now is in my hands. I will show you around Orlando & other places while you are here. It is up to Kevin what happens to Vavranta, but I’ll take care of you. I think the best thing for you to do is to sleep.”
“OK”

When Darviant was asleep I heard a knock on the door. Kevin was there with Vavranta. She had stopped crying, but her eyes were red & her cheeks were tearstained.

“We have to talk,” Kevin said.
