(Howie’s View)
I didn’t care what she said I am going to buy this for her I thought. I kind of had a crush on her, but seeing that she only had one special possession made me a little upset whether I liked her or not. I bought it & hid the box in my pocket. I walked into the store & saw Kara holding a golden retriever puppy & Christie holding a Black lab puppy. I thought they were cute. I ended up getting both of them as well as one of my own. Kara named her puppy Sunshine & Christie named her puppy Midnight. I bought a chocolate lab & named her Sweetie. I went & bought some towels & then we went back to the car. I gave Kara her toys & told her not to let the dogs get them. I laid the towels down & put the puppies inside. I tossed Christie the keys as she walked over to the passenger side.
“I thought you were driving,” I said.
She smiled & I got into the passenger side She started up the car & we were on our way once more. I didn’t realize how tired I was until I started to close my eyes. I accepted it as sleep overcame my body. |
