Perhaps a little bit of history and some words to explain the difference between KEKAMI and PEKAMI.

PEKAMI stands for Persatuan Kakitangan Eksekutif MISC, while KEKAMI is Kesatuan Kakitangan Eksekutif MISC. PEKAMI was formed during the 1990's while KEKAMI was oficially registered in October 2003.

PEKAMI is an association (read social club) while KEKAMI is a union. Due to unfair treatment executive staff were getting from MISC Management, KEKAMI was formed as a platform to do collective bargaining on behalf of the its members with the Management.

At the very outset, PEKAMI president has categorically stated that we aimed at fostering good relations with the Management, and this web page still display MISC ship and Petronas logo, as PEKAMI and KEKAMI feels that they are part and parcel of the Petronas MISC fraternity.
