army

This is an almost (civic defense units are missing) complete list of the Danish army units in 1813. A few tidbits of information is missing here and there but they will be updated as soon as I find the information I´m missing. Uniform descriptions will follow some day. Until now the focus is on the units that fought in the campaign of 1813. I will have a map in here showing unit placement and an order of battle for the entire army as soon as I can humanly manage to get it fixed.

d) Slesvigske Jægerkorps had the honor of recieving 2 Grenadier companies in 1803.

Prins Frederik Ferdinands Dragon Regiment was founded October 22nd 1807 as Sjællandske Dragon Regiment. It was renamed December 20th 1807.

The 7th squadron in the Huassarregiment was formed as a Bosniak (Lancer) squadron. The squadron drew on the other 6 squadrons for manpower.

Den Danske Artilleribataljon and the Holstenske Artilleribataljon was formed as costal defence batteries after the territorial militia was disbanded in 1808. 2 Landbased rocket batteries was formed in 1813 but they never saw any combat.

Herregårdsskytterne	Mounted Light Infantry	118 men in 1 company	Recruited from Sjælland. No pesants allowed in the unit wich was mostly made up of hunters and marksmen from the local manors.

e) Strength unknow. Unit raised December 31st 1813, disbanded July 11th 1814. 400 horses had been purchased for ther unit.
