Jyske Regiment Lette Dragoner

The Jydske Regiment Lette Dragoner (Jydske Regiment Light Dragoons) were one of 4 light dragoon regiments in the Danish army 1813. The regiment wore the classic Danish red uniform jacket. The hemlet is a "casque" as seen on the picture of the officer. The officer is not from Jydske Regiment Lette Dragoner, but from one of the other light dragoon regiments (the Livregiment Lette Dragoner, which is easily reckonigsiable as his collar and cuffs are black). The Jydske Dragoons had dark green turnbacks, collar and cuffs, edged in straw yellow. Their buttons were white.Breeches were either darkgrey or white. The picture is before 1812 (note he is wearing non regulation black breeches, Dark blue or straw yellow were regulation until 1810) as the yellow-red scarf was abandoned in 1812.. The band on the Casque was dark green for Jydske Regiment Lette Dragoner.
