PROTECT YOUR PETS ON HALLOWEEN!!!
CATS
Halloween is a fun holiday for the family, well maybe not the whole family.
Unfortunately your cats probably don't share the same enthusiasm. So often our pets
become the victims of sick gags and rituals. ESPECIALLY CATS!
If your cat lives outside PLEASE, PLEASE bring him in before Halloween.
*This would be a great time to turn him into a indoor cat.* It is important
to realize that black cats are not the only ones at risk, ALL CATS ARE! I am
seeing more and more shelters not adopting cats out the week before Halloween,
a step in the right direction I think!
DOGS
Don't forget about your dog! Dogs are also at risk for these practices. If your dog lives
in the back yard it would be a good idea to bring him in on Halloween as well. The
excitement of the doorbell and all the ghosts and goblins can be a extremely
overwhelming for dogs. Also, please leave your dogs at home. They may feel
threatened by an innocent kid dressed in a scary costume increasing the risk of a bite.
You may think your dog will never do that but in these circumstances one can never
be sure. Best to be safe then sorry!
KIDS AND PARENTS,
Remeber to keep halloween candy out of your dogs reach, dogs love
chocolate but it is VERY TOXIC, it can kill them!!!!!!
