The Lewis organ was used on Wednesday 30th June 2004 during a Memorial Service for those who died in the Grove Park Disaster. Allegedly it was played by Monsignor Gerry Fitzpatrick, Director of Music for the Glasgow Archdiocese.

The Black Diamonds Havana Band had a gig at the Bon Accord pub on Saturday 28th August 2004. During the interval a raffle was held, which raised £40 for the organ fund.

Update:- On Saturday 4th November organ-builder Paul Miller visited CCH to do some remedial work on the pneumatic motors controlling the Flautina 2' and Principal 4' stops on the swell organ. The "Off" motors of both stops had become leaky, one so bad, that in the vicinity of  the mechanism the escaping air sounded like a waterfall! The motors were repaired using strips of fine white leather and a special "archival" adhesive

The work was well worth it, as it restored the 4' Principal and 2' Flautina to the Swell Organ, in addition to reducing the loss of wind-pressure through leaks.

In December 2006 the
JTH Charitable Trust awarded a grant of £250 to the CCH organ fund. The next item on the agenda is to procure and install a humidifier which should help preserve the leather and woodwork in light of the large range of temperature and dryness occasioned by the central heating system. Unless a second-hand humidifier can be found, a significant amount of fund-raising will be required to meet the cost of a new one.
Work in Progress: Early in June 2007, Paul Miller and his apprentice repaired wind trunking which had become leaky.

During September 2007, John raised in excess of £100 through his Doors Open Day Recital Tours. Special thanks must go to Derek Burns, a fellow committee member of the Glasgow Society of Organists, who acted as chauffeur and page-turner on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 of September. The Glasgow Building Preservation Trust donated £25 to the CCH Organ Fund.
On Thursday 22 and Friday 23 November 2007 major work was undertaken by Paul Miller and David, his apprentice, in restoring the pneumatic action to the Pedal Organ. The 16' Sub Bass and 8' Flute are now back in service, although there are three notes not available due to leaky purses in one of the primaries below the pedal-board. The reconnection of at least 64 pneumatic tubes has revealed that a significant amount of re-leathering will be necessary in due course. Photos   Apart from the re-leathering work, the Open Wood will be next in line for reconnection. The lead tail-pieces have been made up, ready to receive the new plastic tubing.
DOORS OPEN DAY 2008 : £48.36 collected in total from six recitals held on the Saturday and Sunday.
