The Infallible, Everlasting Word
Lesson 2 NKJV
Power of God’s Word Isaiah 55:6-12 “___________ the Lord while He may be found, ___________ upon Him while He is near. Let the _____________ forsake his way and the __________________ man his thoughts; let him ____________ to the Lord, and He will have ____________ on him; and to our God, for He will _________________ pardon. ‘For My ______________ are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My _________,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the __________ comes down, and the __________ from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and _______, that it may give _________ to the sower and _________ to the eater, so shall My __________ be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me ___________, but it shall ______________ what I please, and it shall ____________ in the thing for which I sent it. For you shall go out with ________, and be led out with ___________; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into _____________ before you, and all the _________ of the field shall clap their hands.’ ” (The greatest evidence for the Scriptures is its incredible power in the lives of men and women. The Word of God is as sure as the everlasting mountains. It is infallible; what God says will happen. This has been proved over and over again. History testifies to it and anyone who will test the promises of God for themselves will see that-God never lies.) Promise with Conditions Isaiah 58:6-11 “Is this not the _________ that I have chosen: to ___________ the bonds of wickedness, to _________ the heavy burdens, to let the ________________ go free, and that you _________ every yoke? Is it not to ___________ your ____________ with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the __________ who are cast out; when you see the ___________ that you cover him, and not _________ yourself from your own flesh? Then your __________ shall break forth like the ______________, your _____________ shall spring forth speedily, and your _________________ shall go before you; the _________ of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall _________, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, ‘_________ ___ _____.’ If you take away the _________ from your midst, the ______________ of the finger, and ______________ wickedness, if you extend your soul to the _____________ and ____________ the afflicted soul, then your __________ shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness will be as the noonday. The Lord will __________ you continually, and ___________ your soul in drought, and ______________ your bones; you shall be like a watered ____________, and like a spring of ____________, whose waters do not fail.” (Note-When we meet the simple conditions that are laid down by God then we will be sure to receive the promised blessing. We can test the Lord in this. This is an acceptable test to try the Lord in. We are not though to test the Lord by disobedience and unbelief. Prove His promises-they are all true!) The God who acts! Isaiah 64:1-4 “Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the ______________ might shake at Your _____________- as fire burns brushwood, as _________ causes water to __________- to make Your name known to Your adversaries, that the ____________ may ____________ at Your _____________! When you did ______________ things for which we did not look, You came ___________, the mountains ___________ at Your presence. For since the _______________ of the world men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any God besides You, who ________ for the one who __________ for Him.” (There is no more clearer evidence for the God of the Bible than that He “acts for the one who waits for Him.” Those who will follow and obey God will see His mighty works and will know there is no other God except the Lord who created the heavens and the earth. The God who acts for His people!) Inspired by God 2 Timothy 3:14-17 “But you must ______________ in the things which you have ____________ and been ______________ of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from _______________ you have know the ________ ______________, which are able to make you __________ for _______________ through ___________ which is in ___________ _____________. ______ scripture is given by ________________ of God, and is profitable for _____________, for _____________, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be _____________, thoroughly equipped for every _________ work.” |
