Pg 2 of 3
(Note – doctrine means simply a teaching or something that is taught, reproof means a rebuke a type of correction.  The Word of God makes us complete!  It is important that we study the Word every day.)

The Testimony of Others
2 Peter 1:16-21
“For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were __________________ of His majesty.  For He received from God the Father __________ and ____________ when such a voice came to Him from the ______________ ____________: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”  And we ___________ this voice which came from ___________ when we were with Him on the _________ mountain.  And so we have the ______________ word confirmed, which you do well to __________ as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your _________;
knowing this first, that no ___________ of Scripture is of any __________ interpretation, for ___________ never came by the will of man, but _________ men of God spoke as they were moved by the ________ ___________.”

(The Bible is for public knowledge and was written by holy men of God who were moved by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.  God has preserved His word down through the ages-Psalm 119:160; 12:6,7-so that through them we could become wise unto salvation and resist the snares of the Devil.  The Bible, through faith in Christ, is our lifeline to heaven and to God.)

The Bible is a Revelation of Jesus Christ
Revelation 1:1-3
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His _____________- things which must ___________ take place.  And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the ________ of ________, and to the testimony of __________ __________, to all things he _______.  Blessed is he who R_______ and those who H_______ the words of this prophecy, and K_______ those things which are written in it; for the time is _________.”

(Note the human author who by the Holy Spirit wrote the book of Revelation also wrote the Gospel of John and the inspired letters 1st, 2nd, 3rd John.  Understanding and living the messages of those books along with understanding the prophetic book of Daniel will unlock the last book of the Bible, The Revelation of Jesus Christ, in the most wonderful, life-changing manner.)

A Warning
Deuteronomy 4:1,2
“Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I __________ you to observe, that you may ________, and go in and __________ the land which the Lord God of your fathers in giving you.  You shall not _______ to the word which I command you, nor _________ from it, that you may keep the ________________ of the Lord your God which I command you.”

(Note- This passage and the next refer to ‘Israel.’ The New Testament clearly teaches that those who are Christ’s are spiritual ‘Israel.’ See Galatians 3:7-9,29; Romans 2:28, 29.  Therefore this command still applies to all who by faith are Christ’s.  See also Revelation 22:18,19.  The land that is promised here on condition of obedience was Canaan for the physical Jew, but for the Christian (or the Spiritual Jew) it is heaven!)

The Bible a Religion of the Heart
Deuteronomy 6:4-9
“Hear, O Israel:  The Lord our God, the Lord is ______!  You shall ________ the Lord your God with all your ________, with all your _________, and with all your ____________.  And these _________ which I command you today shall be in your ________.

The Children and Family
You shall _________ them diligently to your ______________, and shall ________ of them when you _______ in your house, when you _________ by the way, when you lie down, and when you ________ up.  You shall _________ them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.  You shall _________ them on the ____________ of your house and on your __________.”

(The Word of God is to be the most important part of our lives.  We are to teach our children to love Jesus and to understand and obey the Bible.  This is our spiritual duty.  The best teaching is our own example.  Jesus told us we are to live by every word of God.  Matthew 4:4.  He alone, with His abundant help, can help us to do this, and then we can help make this world a better place during our short stay.)
