Sheaves of Grass **A Collection of Poems |
Planted a seed with love, fed and nutured from above. contained in Mother Nature's mirth I sprout and peck avove the earth. I search the healing warth I need to help me flourish and succeewd. I turn to kies of azure blue for pigments of sun's multi hue. I drink warm droplets from the sky which helps me grow and come alive. The golden petals around my face reflect a blush in outer space. Mid-Summer's heat has me smiling I reach higher, always climbing to lofty heights, in search of sun; it goes to bed, my day is done. My feathered friends, their breakfast taste, as they peck my pimpled face; I rotate to the veacon on high, give praise and heave a long sad sigh. I feel a chilly Autumn breeze as I watch fluttering prismatic leaves. I don't believe I'll grow any stronger; can't follw Ms. Sunshine any longer. I bow in prayer, my laden head, and give thanks for the harvest ahead. I know my time on earth is done, my beauty fades with the setting sun. ~~~~~************~~~~~ |
