Billy Ray Wilson (R-5th District Candidate) PoliticsKY: What was your first experience in politics? Billy Ray Wilson: Thirty five years under the federal government's employment umbrella with international assignments from the basic level through the U.S. Department of State. (Covert and Overt). PoliticsKY:What drove you to make this run for Congress? Billy Ray Wilson: No Americans in either the Federal Executive or Legislative Branches of government since 1960. The Washington establishment has abolished, in my opinion, the Constitution of the United States plus we are almost in a state of Martial Law. PoliticsKY: What do you believe is the most important issue the 5th District is facing? Billy Ray Wilson: Lack of employment and acceptance of individual personal responsibility as an American. PoliticsKY: How will you deal with this if you are elected in Congress? Billy Ray Wilson: Mutliple steps: (1) We have excellent transportation arteries in Kentucky but we need to add a light rail line parallel with Interstate 75 from Cincinnati to either the Tennessee Border or on to Knoxville and spur routes into Eastern Kentucky which would allow the residents to seek employment throughout the state and reside in their homesteads or present communities. (2) Take religion and religious ideals out of government and return to the real world that require personal hardships and responsibility. (3) Find an alternate crop for tobacco such as hemp or rice. Canada's Hemp market brings in more than one billion dollars per year of revenue. The United Nations developed a strain of rice for the mountain people in Southeast Asia that I'm sure would work in Eastern Kentucky. (I recently wrote KY's Secretary of Agriculture and asked Mr. Farmer to look into the rice possibility.) (4) Laurel county would be an ideal location for a Resort Center where would could gamble, travel to Churchill Downs, Dollywood, the Grand Ole Opry and other tourist locations due to our good weather and transportation arteries. The site could be on either federal or state land. (5) Ensure the new Route 66 is built with a light rail system, a roadway that would provide a lane for computerized control of a vehcile from start to destination. With modern inovations, all things are possisble. All one needs is to get Americans office that have no loyalty other than to the United States. PoliticsKY: In Congress, what issue would you advocate the most for your constituents? Billy Ray Wilson: Comply with the dictates of the Constitution; whereas, the people of the United States would be the recipient of our nations wealth, return the National Guard & Reserves to a status of a state militia, provide a socialized medical system and strengthen the Sociall Security System. (Return Social Security to an independent status as it was before John F. Kennedy transfereed the fund to the general fund. PoliticsKY: How many tterms in office do you project to have? Billy Ray Wilson: One term providing I have made some headway in forcing the other five hundred thirty four members of Congress to return to the Constitution and make laws for the American people. We need our country back. PoliticsKY: Can you make an impact once you enter Congress? And if yes, how? Billy Ray Wilson: Yes. If I am still alive after the first few months, as I will demand as a lonely, young member of Congress to void all further contact and support with the Socialist State of Israel; whereas, once and for all, our nation will be free of terrorist threats and being labeled the international bully. PoliticsKY: Kentucky is facing a continual Budget shortage, if elected to Congress, how would you be able to help with this? Billy Ray Wilson: First of all, I am running for the U.S. House of Representatives to assure state's rights, security of the United States and a well regulate commerce that allows all Americans, especially Kentuckians, to work. Second, should Kentuckians want a federal representative to raid the national treasury which places an unknown number of future generations in debt, then they should vote for Congressman Rogers. Third, by adhering to the foundation established by the founders of our great nation, our country will prosper and all Americans will be one people, regardless of race, religion, creed and point of origin. PoliticsKY: Finally, if you could speak to all the voters, what would you tell them? Billy Ray Wilson: If you were born in the United States of America or Naturalized through the U.S. Department of Justice, then you are an American. Not a hyphenated American nor an American with a religious prefix or suffix. An American. Too many Americans of all races, relilgions, and cultures made this great country that has many flaws but we are still the envy of the international community. |
