This is the house that my grandparents raised 12 children.  It's still in the family and it's now double the size of what it was back in the 30s.  It holds a lot of memories for mom.  There was a tree (which was struck by lightening and since removed) in the yard that was mom's special place.  When there was time between helping my grandmother tend to her siblings, doing household chores, chopping or picking cotton, she'd climb that tree to escape and dream of what was to be . . .
