2009 EVENTS

Jan. 27 Annual Book Exchange
Home of Michelle Dinsmoor, 7 p.m.

With all of this crazy winter weather, we hope you've had a chance to finish some of those books on your reading list.  Bring a pile of good reads to give away at the annual book exchange, or simply come and enjoy the generosity of others with plenty to share.

We are also collecting new and gently used children's books for the Oregon Burn Center.  Hot cocoa and cookies will be provided!  For more information, contact Jennifer Greyerbiehl at Jennifer.Greyerbiehl@gmail.com.

Feb. 5&6 ccatelethon_08.jpgValentine's Day for CCA
105.1 The Buzz Radio Station

In 2008, Tri Delta alumnae volunteered in a CCA telethon which raised more than $400,000 to benefit this children's charity.

The 2009 radio-thon, sponsored by 105.1 The Buzz, is scheduled for Feb. 5-6 and we are looking for volunteers to help take phone shifts throughout the day.  If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Bri McLeod at hapeegrl81@yahoo.com.

Feb. 7 Collegiate/Alumnae Educational Event at OSU

This year we are planning to compile a cookbook of our favorite recipes to share with the collegiate chapter at OSU.

If you have a health-conscious and budget-friendly dish you'd like to include in our cookbook, please type a copy and e-mail it to our Collegiate Alumnae Relations Chair, Melissa Pfaff, at melanne37@yahoo.com

Along with the recipe, make sure you include your name, where you went to school, and a little bit about why you like to make it or the recipe's history (especially if it's a family tradition).  We plan to present the finished cookbook to the Theta Mu chapter at this educational event.

Feb. 13 Tasting at Vino Vixens Wine Bar
2929 SE Powell Blvd., 5:30-7:30 p.m.

We hope you can join us for a few flights at this lounge-style wine bar.  Bring your significant other, or plan to meet up with a few friends after work, for this casual event open to all alumnae.  Tasting fees range from $10-$15.

Vino Vixens also features live music on Friday nights starting at 7 p.m.  For details, contact Vicky Edwards at vedwards75@comcast.net.
