Shard vs. Zykhee: 400 Points

Have you ever had one of those games where you win so incredibly huge that it's embarrassing? This was one of those games. I had my assortment of 6 Concussors wth 1 Matrix cannon, and my Prime with the Heavy Beam Laser. Darkhost had 3 squads of 3 Ra'gha warriors, 6 of them with Speed tattoos and Blast tips. It was a brutal, bloody duck shoot. We forgot to roll for terrain effects, but did determine the game was 6 turns long. In the end, the final score was Shard: 408 GP, Zykhee: 17 GP. Instead of boring anyone with my triumphant outook, I instead would like to let my opponent tell the story in his words:

"I had 400 points of Zykhee (9 Ra'gha with blast blades broken into three squads; two of the squads have speed tats) get spanked by a Prime and six Concussors. My first squad made it into CC with the Concussors, but without enough MP to make any attacks. In the Concussors' activation they blew the three Ra'gha away -- never missed a to-hit roll or a wound roll. Another squad lost 1 dude before they even got into CC, the remaining two did get into CC with the Prime, but one got blown away by Concussor fire, and the last dude failed his Guts check and ran away. The last squad managed to survive long enough to charge the Prime and take him down, only to then get waxed by those thrice-damned Concussors!

Maybe if my worthy foe hadn't had such great dice luck I might have had a better chance. Also, I probably should have done my initial placement a little better, so as to make a bee-line for the Concussors as opposed to trying to flank them.

Hopefully I'll do a bit better when we step up to a 750 point game.

Regards..."
