History: Eve was born under the magical influences of the Planet Gaia, which increased her rate of growth and development extraordinarily. "27" is how she appears, but her actual chronological age is only 10 years. While on Gaia she had unusually strong magical skills ans was unable to leave the planet due to the loss of its stabilizing influence of the atmosphere on her cellular structure. Federation scientists eventually found a way to alter her genetically to allow her to leave the planet of her birth, but she lost all of her magical abilities, except for telepathy. Approximately one year ago, Eve suffered a stroke in a telepathic battle with LTC Corran Horn, 2nd Officer of the USS Ulysses and her mother's lover. She has no memory of the dispute or conflict with Horn and the two have developed a cordial relationship. She has no other residual problems from the stroke and now is in good health. After a violent civil war on Britannia, in which the USS Ulysses had to intervene on behalf of the reformists, Eve was brought across the galaxy to ascend the throne of the newly reconfigured parliamentary monarchy. Her grandfather, Phillip IV had been corrupt and power-hungry. With the help of the church and its chief cleric, Bishop Potemkin, Phillip had abused his people and slowly removed what rights his citizens had. After their defeat, Phillip and Potemkin both
committed suicide rather than face trial in a UFP tribunal. Bret Starbuck, Eve's father had long before renounced his position as heir to the throne in order to escape his family's influence and pursue his dream of contributing to the Federation as a Counselor in Starfleet. However, as the last remaining member of the Royal House, he had the honor of crowning his daughter, "Eve I, Queen of Britannia". Several years later, Cdr. Starbuck was lost in a transporter accident and was listed as MIA for 7 years. Unable to find him or locate a body, at the end of this time, Starfleet changed his status to "Killed in Action", something Eve found very difficult to accept and which directly led to her conflict with Corran Horn. Months later, Bret Starbuck miraculously reappeared through the help of an interdimensional alien. Starbuck became depressed and committed suicide when he was confronted with the changes that had taken place in the intervening years, especially the relationship between Tatiana Zaitsev and Horn. He took his life just after being reunited with Eve. During her eight years as monarch of Britannia, Eve has strived to help her people rebuild their war-torn planet, develop an independent Parliament and advance her planet's standing in the UFP and with other peoples and planets of the Alpha Quadrant. She is interested in the arts, is a patron of many charities, especially those involving children, and has a keen interest in politics and diplomacy. She knows that she
must shortly address the issue of marriage and securing the succession of the crown. Up until now hse has been uninterested in a relationship and is concerned that her suitors will be self-serving. She looks to her friends and advisors for help in this and other important matters. Eve looks like a younger versioin of her mother, except that she has her father's eyes. Her straight hair hangs to her shoulders, moving as she moves. She has dancing eyes that seem to glitter easily with laughter and her full lips curve easily into a smile as well. She is partial to long, soft dresses in plain colors and rarely looks like a queen. Usually playful, she has been known to jog up and down the palace hall
ways on rainy days and she can often be heard singing to herself as she works. Occassionally, she will disguise herself and take tour groups through the palace, much to (most) of her staff's dismay.
