Joshua was a jovial and idealistic young man when the war broke out, and was filled with the ideals of "Duclce et Decorum est pro Patria Mori" (It is good and wise to die for one's country) when he set out to fight for the Reformists. He discovered one thing: War is utter hell.
Returning from the war, Joshua was a changed man, his nights haunted with visions of what he had seen and he has become a very reserved and quiet soul. He is a very gentle person now, though he is very well trained in the arts of war. In short, he is a soldier who regrets his profession and does all he can to hide the shame he sees within himself.
